From a formal dinner on the arm of John Carter to galloping across the plains on a thoat, Rafaella is ready to take on anything Mars can dish out.

Rafaella has been given a full makeover with all of her factory paint removed and artist quality paints and sealers used to give her a new look. Her hair has been elaborately permed to form a cascade of jet black curls down her back.

With her eyes reflecting the ever changing skys, Rafaella wears elaborate brasswork denoting her royal birth and carries the ancient staff of power. She stands ready to stave off any threats to her beloved world of Barsoom.

Her entire costume was hand stitched from hand dyed cotton bastiste. She is indeed dripping in brass and paua shell - from her head-dress to her ankles. - Her staff is brass with a quartz crystal tip and yet more brass as a finial

Rafaella is a Jakks Pacific doll - which means she has a flexible spine and jointed elbows, knees and hips. She can be posed in almost any position you can imagine!

The shoulders and hem of her top and the back of her skirt have been enthusiastically hand beaded for a finishing touch.
