Here's my list of synthetic hair suppliers I've used.

My Little Customs - based in th UK & run by Robin who is awesome to deal with.  She sells nylon, saran and now has a small supply of polypropylene hair.  You'll need 2 small hanks to do a barbie, but a large hank of saran will do at least 2 barbies & maybe more.  BTW... she has a bunch of video tutorials on different methods of rerooting.

DoctoredLocks - Based in the States, these guys sell people size synthetic extensions.  I've bought & used the Janet Collection Yaky Switch Toyokalon Braid, and the Silky Straight Kanekalon Braid would work too.  Stay away from the Kanekalon Jumbo Braid even though it's cheap.  There is a reason why it is cheap!  Trust me on this.

And here are some others that I know about, but haven't ordered from myself.

RestoreDoll - Based in the States, and sells saran in both small and large hanks.

Dollyhair - Based in the States, and sells nylon, saran, polypropylene, and acetate hair.

RerootDoll - Australia based.  They sell saran in both small and large hanks.

If you have a favorite one, please add to the list.

I'm still building up the nerve to reroot a doll head.  Actually, I'm building up the money.  Might not seem like it would cost a lot but when the bills drain you dryer than a Vampire after a hundered year sleep.... vamp
Right now I can only look and dream.

I've been waiting forever for them to get it back in.

Ditto on that.  When I first ordered from her, she didn't have Canada as an option so I emailed her.  She fixed it pronto and has been great since.

No no no.Dollyhair is Tina who is extremelly kind and very, VERY generous on her hanks. Mylittlecustoms is Robin who is very kind, as Tina, but sells only mlp hanks.Dollyhair sells much hair, enough for a doll with dense hair, more dense than the factory rooted hair.Mylittlecustoms sells hanks, that when rooted are as dense as the factory rooted hair.Mylittlecustoms has fast delievery, dollyhair has much hair.It is up to u to decide.I, lately, order from dollyhair. But both are really great, I am just leaning a little bit to dollyhair. One 38" barbie hank is enough to reroot a doll, that will have really dense hair. The only thing is that they both have the same hair quality in nylon hair.Oh yes.Dollyhair adds more nylon colors much faster than mylittlecustoms. Ah another thing, dollyhair is going to sell doll grade kanekalon hair, which is really better than human grade kanekalon hair.It is more sleek, more thinner, and more silky!  woo hoo

I'll let you know when I receive my order from restore a doll... hopefully by the end of this week.  I'm thinking it probably is as restore a doll lists my little customs as an authorized katsilk dealer

We had an artist on the forum who used hair from a people beauty store because it is inexpensive, I got hair at Sally Beauty supply for my first reroots on the blood elves.  I used the cheapest possible on the boy and it took me twice the time to do him than the girl where I spring for better quality stuff.  To me the katsilk is even easier to work with.  But I have done a grand total of three and a half reroots.
