Want do you mean reg.barbie? Like the first barbie or the ones now? Like all of us we just jumped in .Should see some of our first repaints .LOL. But Tanya here has video on repainting . On You tube you'll find them there. Also there may be tutorials in the sections on the home page. Give it a go and see what you can do. The paint we use are acrylics and different sealers and blenders and flow-aids.......Hope that helps some.

By reg.Barbie, you mean the barbies that have a some kind of eye molds?I can tell you some very poor tips but I hope they will help.Ok!1rst of all, use a pencil, a regular pencil, to make the eye shapes and her eyebrows. You can do and the outline iris ring, and the pupil too.Second, you should mix your colors very well, and use in the color mixture acrylic mediums and of course a retarder. In my opinion a retarder is always a must add, because it helps the colors not to dry very fast, but also, it helps your acrylics to be diluted even better, and gives you a much more water color like consistensy. Now on the way you should paint, I would suggest to watch Tanya's videos. They are a great help! I'll try to make a tutorial on repainting soon, so always check the tutorial pages! I hope I helped.

Well - I've done 3 1/2 tutorials? - they're listed here:
http://www.dolls-n-daggers.com/Dolls/OOAKtipspainting.php#Basics

Uniquely Yours has some up:
http://www.uydolls.com/files/redefault.cfm

and the magnificent Juan Albuerne has a great page up:
http://www.juanalbuerne.com/PaintingClass.html

Brutal Sun Studio's have a great section on repaints:
http://www.brutalsunstudio.com/tutorials.htm

Any other tutorial links I had saved have been taken down... most people sell their tutorials these days.  I HAVE heard great things about Laurie Leigh's... http://laurieleighart.com/index.htm - although they're not in her salesroom anymore, so I don't know if she's still selling them...

Those were what I had saved - doing a 'current' search...

Face-ups! (or, working with pastels, pastels work JUST fine on barbie vinyl AS LONG AS you put a coat of sealer on FIRST)
http://www.webcomicsnation.com/starbolins/FACEUPTUT01.php

Whoop! - looks like Donna Anne put at least a basic tutorial back up!
http://www.squidoo.com/Repaint-a-doll
annnnnnd here's where she sells HER tutorials!
http://www.repaintdolls.com/
(I don't know a thing about them, either for or against)

WELL - that should keep you busy for awhile huh?

 happy
